Description Wilson Combat 1911 Beavertail Grip Safety, High Ride, Bullet Proof®, Stainless, Series 80 The Bullet Proof ® version of Wilson Combat’s classic beavertail safety is machined from hardened bar stock steel without the flaws or inclusions that can plague many mass produced cast or molded inferior 1911 parts.  The exclusive Wilson compound joint radius is easy to fit by hand and the modified grip safety arm allows easy disassembly. A pocketed rear tang for a recessed commander hammer and a raised rear tab for positive safety release will make this your preferred part for high-end custom builds. Safety arm narrowed for “Series 80” type firing pin safeties. Frame modification required.  Use Wilson Combat’s #402 fitting jig for best results.
